I have a 150w Metal Halide and two crocea clams at the top, they aren't opening for some reason. Could they be diseased? They were open in the fish store. All water paramaters are good except nitrates at 20. Calcium 500. Alk, ph, everything else is fine. Nothing seems to be picking on them...

I would, but it seems like the only way it will work is if it pours out a lot of bubbles. Is it just a bad skimmer?

I have a seaclone 100 protein skimmer, it is venturi driven. When the water returns into my tank after going into the protien skimmer it is extremely bubbly. I don't think this is too much of a problem for the inhabitants as oxygen is good for them, but it is not very aesthetically appealing...
