Not sure how old your tank is but if it is 6 months or more I would just remove all bio balls for they tend to do a reverse effect after about 6 months and release nitrates into tank. Well .25 nitrates is not that bad just so you know and most likely unless you do a refruguim you will not get it to zero. Cal should be 400 to 450 & 10 alk if you use Kalkwasser you should be able to maintain a steady cal & alk.

On my 150 gal I have a Mag18 return & mag 9 return and I have 5 maxijet 1200's power heads all is very good and doing well
