I need a new skimmer. Not looking to spend a fortune. I want to put it in the sump, I don't though have a lot of room in it. Any suggestions as to which ones are easy to use and really good?

Have a domino damsel fish that has decided to make one of my bubble tip anonomes his home. Have three, one is host to a large clown fish and another now has a damsel domino, is this normal? I have never seen any other fish in them but clowns.

Where can u buy what?

But funny thing have two candy canes. One is beautiful other one ehhh. Came from same stalk, just accidentally broke one off. The ugly one used to look like the good one

Phosphates read .5 Kh/ Alk reads 10.2 or 3.65 Calcium 400 Ph is weird test and it shows low. Shake bottle again retest 8.0 Water movement two water spouts where water returns into tank and 4 power heads. 2 big ones 2 little ones. Water movement is real good.

I have some that are low, some in the middle and some up high, right below the water. They were doing so good that that is how much they spread but now.... They all look the same. Not one of them is open. I just don't know what to do. I change water, seems it has to be in the water but what?

I had them all in a 55, moved everything over to a 120 but did change from the led lights to t5. That was in June, around February, roughly, they started closing. So put the LEDs back on, and still nothing. They just won't open up.

why are they not opening? They have been opened for years and for past four or five months they have been closed. All parameters are good. Everything a zero except nitrate is a two. Help please.

I do have macro algae, quite a bit in the sump, just did stir up the sand since my gobies have disappeared, well the new ones that is, I was worried about stirring sand though, that is acceptable. It will not hurt the bacteria in it or create a nitrate release? I do only feed every other day...

It is mixed, but mainly soft corals. Reading another post about diatoms and red slime, and my problem sounds more like cyano now.

My next question was going to be that. How long can I go with out the lights with out causing a problem? I do have corals and don't want to damage them.

Wondering if anyone has ever dosed peroxide in their reef aquarium. I have been reading online, that people have used 1 ml to every gallon of tank water, to rid their aquarium of nasty algae. I have diatoms, can't seem to rid myself of them, and really would like a way to see them go bye bye...
