I have a JEBO Compact light which has four 55 watt bulbs,i was wanting to know if i could put 65 watt bulbs in there instead of 55 watt with out hurting anything

I have alot of algae growth in my tank! I had my water tested and it is perfect but lately I have had several fish die all of the sudden and all at once. What is causing it to grow so much and how can I slow it down. How can I get rid of it? Could it be the reason my fish are dying?
