Can I have any coral/anemones with my setup?

to be honest, I don't even know if i can pop off the plastic guard to get to the bulbs to replace them. I may be lookin at a pc setup or a lower powered mh or somethin, haven't looked into it that far yet. lighting is expensive!

Can I have any coral/anemones with my setup?

I have a 55g FOWLR setup with about 70 lbs of LR that's been established for about 2 years now. I have the original lighting that came with my tank....i'm pretty sure they're just cheap florescent lights. My question is, what coral/anemones can I have without upgrading my light?

    New LR from SWF

if the rock you got was dried out that means there is "die off" and you need to scrape the die off from the rock or else you'll have an amonia spike in your tank. If you already have livestock(fish, snails, anything other than rock) then I would scrub the rock with a tooth brush or scrub...

    this aiptasia?

I think it's aiptasia but not like other pics I've seen online and in other tanks. If I stick anything close to any of these creatures...they retreat back into the live rock...but the pic with the longer tree-root lookin thing...the root doesn't move, just the harry somethin that comes out of...

    sleeper gold headed goby...

wouldn't that lead to overfeeding the other fish in the tank? my sleeper goby is already shye so it'll be impossible to have him come to my hand for food. i've had him for 2 days and he hasn't sifted much of the sand. I think i'll keep feeding the tank every other day until the sand is sifted...

    sleeper gold headed goby...

I have a 55g that's been established for over a year now, with 2 percs, a clean shrimp and a chromis. I had a diamond goby that was bigger than normal i'd say, about 4 inches and ate constantly! Well my diamond goby died about 2 weeks ago...i'm guessing due to lack of food. With this sleep...

    Fowlr

Piper01 How much lighting would I need for a 90G FOWLR tank. If I need allot would compact Flourescent or Metal Halide be better? You don't need a lot of light for any FOWLR tank. The more watts the light is the easier it will be to grow unwanted colors and aptasia in your tank. I would most...

    acclimating...

1st Question: Does all forms of lifeform need to be acclimated into a new tank? I'm about to buy some turbo and mexican turbo snails for my 55g. I heard that i wouldn't need to acclimate because the snails can take in water whenever they want to vs. a fish that's always breathing in water...

    RO/DI Unit...

Thank you all so much for your input. I wouldn't be wanting anything bigger than a 35-50 gpd unit because this will only be in use for a 55g for quite some time. I'll be sure to look up this thread when I get home and do some research on the exact parts I need and the best bang for the buck...
