My naso is still not eating and I have tried everything I can think of, seaweed slects soaked in Zoe, brine live and frozen, romaine, frozen planlton he just will not eat. He was a thick fish when he arrived and now you can see his ribs. It is a shame to watch a beautiful fish just fade away. I...

    simple questions from a beginner

I do not think the coral beauty will get along with the tigger and maybe the tang depending on it's temperment. It appears to me you have an aggressive set-up with a coral beauty thrown in. Coral beauties are more of a community fish not aggressive and it could get intimidated by the other more...

    micron filter ??

I have always been told that the micron filters are for water polishing. I do not think running all the time would hurt your tank.

    Ideas for my 92 Bowfront

If your tank is cycled and you add live rock it will cycle again! So, be aware that you do not want to add any fish if you are going to add live rock. The more live rock you add the big the cycle will be.You can add live sand and it should not cause your tank to cycle. You can add small pieces...

Ideas for a 50gal FO tank??

I would go with wet dry and power heads for water movement. Canister filters in time become nitrate factories.

    Moving a Tank

This is what I would do especially since it is only 3 miles. 1) Keep the water ( or at least 75%) 2) Transport the fish in 5 gal buckets with an air pump and or powerhead. (keep the water in the buckets heated until the last minute also.) 3) Besure to add stress coat to the transportion water...

I took both my meters (old and new) to the lfs and the new one was right on and the old measured everything very low. So, everone should purchase a new meter every 6 to 12 months in my opinion to assure that the water is constant and the measurements are correct.

    New Oceanic Reef Ready

Noise concerns, does the top of your over flow have a top/lid. If not you can make one out of plexiglass and it will reduce the noise a great deal. Or you can go the cheap way, but it works: Get a piece of styrofoam and cut it so it fits tightly into the overflow box. If the foam is not real...

    tank setup question

From what I have read you should go with both if possible. If you can only afford one I would go with the Live rock. The reason being that you can add live sand later and not cause the tank to recycle. But, if you go with the sand first when you add the live rock later the tank could recycle...

    Water change?

What you have in mind sounds good. I would take it easy on the vacuuming the first couple of times. You can vacuum but I personally would only hit the surface lightly. What type of filter are you runnig? I would also still add the standard conditioners.

    Damsels and bigger fish

I know that the damsels would mess with the angel. But they might leave the trigger alone. It would be best to get rid of the damsels. I also do not think angel and a trigger would get along that well either. Triggers can be or get pretty MEAN. I have never seen the two together.

    FIGHTING!

You should get the damsels out. If there is an area in your tank that is clear of rock and such from front to back you can use a clear piece of plexiglass about 1/4 inch thick and as wide as the tank from front to back. This will separate the damsels from the rest of the tank and make it a lot...
