ah thanks for your help guys. We do have a generator but it is very old and unreliable. But I can only remember one power out lasting two days and everything else was shorter. Well it looks like a fish tank can still be kept with the risk so thats great.

I am really interested in starting a 45-55 gal tank, but I have a question that just came to my mind. What about power outs? we live in a bad part of town where the power goes dead for a few hours or a day around 5-10 times a year. Once it lasted 2 days. Would a tank survive this if it...

well I like small fish. I want to try a goby I think. I go to Bob Jones university btw. I actually was looking at an Iceprobe chiller. Looks like a nice idea. Would give me much more peace of mind. Im going to put together a shopping list, and then run it by this forum to see what you guys...
