Do i need to cycle the tank if I put water from my DT in it and am only using it as hospital. After using it as hospital I am going to empty it? I have a Emperor Angel, Powder blue tang, maroon clown, and hippo blue.

Ok our fish have ich and we want to set up a hospital tank for it (treating with copper). What do you need to do? I have lights, heater, thermometer, filter (no carbon), and tank ready for the hospital. Thanks for any advise.

Just to let you all know about our progress on the feather star, we are doing ok. Someone told me that they are filter feaders so we do DT in our tank and he seems to be alright for now. We will see how he keeps up.

Are you supposed to clean out your sump? I know that you have to rinse the sock on the intake and the skimmer, but on the floor of the sump I have a little bit of junk. I am not real concerned about it but I guess I wasn't sure if you were supposed to do any additional cleaning in there? Thanks...
