I have a 90 gal tank. I've been brushing off this hair algae on different rocks and it comes back. Any idea how to get rid of it

I have a 90 gal tank and I'm ready to start with a fuge. Now should I keep my tide pool 2 running and then have the fuge at the end. I'm thinking of putting the water back into the sump. I have a skimmer and my heaters in the sump. I'v had the tank running now for about two years.

My tank has patches of white over his body, I've looked up ick and it's not small white dots. the patches are about mmm 1/8 of an inch in size. He's had it for a while. The other 8 fish don't have anything. My wife says she thinks he's just loosing his colour.

I read that these things can kill some of your soft corl, buy covering them with the web that they put out.

yea that's what I'm trying to do, I'm snapping them off. I have about 110 lbs of rock in a 90 gal tank.

after reading on the internet the things I found that get rid of this thing are the long zebra leg hermit crab, or the copper banded butterfly fish

Can anyone help me with this type of tube like thing. It almost looks like a feather duster tube like shape. but I've herd about these things before. They have a web like thing comeing out of them to colect food. Are they harmfull. Like there all over the rock on my snails, like everwhere?

I have t5 lights, the tank is a 90 gal. I have the coal close to the bottom, so I've read that's were they like to be. I'm thinking maybe the coral is growing wish wish. But if anyone has any info it would be nice to here from you. Thanks

Thanks everone I just talk to the fish store in Subbury, and he says the ppm is the same and the mg/L.

yea I tryed and there's nothing about ppm. It might be that the two are the same mmmmm. I'll keep looking. I tryed to phone them but just got the answering machine. Thanks for you reply.

The calcium is to be at 400 to 450 mg/L. My Pinpoint calcium Monitor reads in ppm. Does anyone know what the ppm is to be at. I tested my tank and it's reading 650-700. 90 gal tank. 100 lbs of rock 7 fish and 7 pieces of coral.

:help: My leather coral looks like it is dieing. My water is good, I'm feeding it plankton putting it in the water, once ever three days or so. Here's a picture can you tell me if it's dieing. Or is the leather just going threw a stag.

which are the good ones and bad ones.

Does anyone have an idea if these crabs or good for the tank or not mmmm.
