I'm setting up a frag tank, and I am wondering if I add some Southdown to it and use only clean tank water will it cause anything bad to happen(like a cycle) or should I just go barebottom? I was thinking why not seed some sand while I'm at it. Yea or Nay? Mobi:D

Would there be any benefit to tinting the sides of a tank with mirror window film? would there be more useable light reflected?:confused: This would be for a Prop tank, not a display.:D Mobi:D

Ok I noticed something new today. it looks like it is some sort of worm in a calcareous tube. it looks like it has two strings inside the tube. and casts a slimy net across the rocks then pulls it back in. I know weird, but what is it? and good or bad? Mobi:D

Here is a clam I picked up about 1 month ago, It was in a 13g nano and barely open from the 36 watts of pc. there was absolutely no white along the shell edge. Here it is now in its rightful place under the MH sun. amazing what a proper lighting can do huh? Mobi:D

Well, I sold my 125 and downgraded to a sweet little 36g bowfront. after moving over some of my rock, and all of my livestock I had my temperature probe fall out of the tank. Yikes!!!!:scared: the tank went up to 88 degrees before I noticed what had happened! so this little mishap cost me all...
