get one of those tank dividers with holes in it at LFS. Get a hanging light fixture with a clamp on it at Home Depot. Get a 23W compact flourescent flood light and shine it about 4" - 6" away from some macroalgae(Chato, Caulerpa, etc.) Hopefully that will all be staged right before your return...

I just can't get it to stop leaking. There is literally no instructions supplied with this product. The red O-ring is pretty loose that goes on the bottom of the collection cup(I guess) I'm not sure what to do next??

Just replaced my super skimmer with an ASM G3 protein skimmer for my 125G reef. My question: I have water coming down the sides of the skimmer under the collection cup into the sump.---Is this normal??? Or should this be a tight seal somehow?? Thanks in advance for your help, Gary

Yes Kelly, problem is solved. It was flow ---I got two Tunze powerheads with the electronic controller(about $800 last year) It cleared up the tank in about 3 weeks. Also replaced all of the filters in my RO unit.

I had the same problem, alkalinity must be low. Let it come down on its own, or add alk buffer.

Early---actually I have and I am getting a 600ppm reading everyday for the past week. I know that this does not make any sense because my alkalinity is also high or right on target(3.8) I have not added any kalk or liquid calcium in the past week either, and I still cannot get my calcium level...

I am just runnign the calcium monitor for spot checks.

So I assume that I cut the head of the toadstool off and then cut the head up and place a different spots in the tank. What do you do with the long stalk now, with no head on it? Will it grow a new head or do I just get rid of it?

Thanks for the advice, but it is hard to believe that I do not have enough light. The base of the stalk is at the midway level in my tank. The head of the leather is 10-12 inches from a 150W metal halide. But what you say makes sense. Gary
