    Tiny white star on glass....

Again, sorry for not having the ability to provide a picture..... Looks nothing like the shots in the previous posts. Total size, just smaller in diameter than a standard pencil eraser. From the top, looks simular to what a Bunt pan would look like if were that size (remember the 70's?), except...

    Tiny white star on glass....

They have 6 legs, but they are anything but legs, as a starfish would have. They are just more than round. The perimiter, between "points" would best be described as swoops, rather than arms. I have no ability to provide a picture. mike

    Tiny white star on glass....

Had a large number of these also. Took out almost 2 dozen and less than a week later, have almost that many in the tank (90 gal acrylic). Do they self multiply, have some sort of a Queen, etc, what's the deal with these. They crawl the sides at night, then when the lights come on, they all...

    Killer shrimp??

Please. Keep in mind I SAW the cleaner shrimp catch the fish, pick him apart and eat him. Nitrate levels are out of the question regarding the attitude of the shrimp. The other fish didn't die, simply dissapeared, making sense that the shrimp had killed and eaten them LIKE he had when i...

    Killer shrimp??

Not a CBS. Just your run-of-the-mill cleaner shrimp. He is now, I think full grown. Has not molted in a few months. Size is approx 2 1/2" long, 'whiskers' if you will, are about six to seven inches across. Maroon and cream colored stripe running down his back. We thought it odd as well...

    Killer shrimp??

The cleaner shrimp. It had the fish in its cleaning limbs devouring it in front of us for half an hour, while the fish was ALIVE. The whole fish was eventually consumed.

    Killer shrimp??

I feed frozen -half a cube every other day. If I feed every day, almost nothing gets eaten, I think because of the minimum load in the tank. Thanks for the response. Mike

    Killer shrimp??

I have a 90 gal tank, live sand and around 15 lbs of live rock (in 10 pieces). Tank has been 'alive' for around 7 years or so. It has 9 crabs, a clown fish a damsel and a cleaner shrimp. Had been struggling with high nitrate level and thought that was the reason my (4) green chromis had been...

    Nitrates high-Is this deadly?

I have purchased new chemicals / kits to test with twice over the last 2 years, and have taken in samples to the local fish store, all with the same results. I keep 2 thermometers. One stick-on to moniter the bottom of the tank, one floater for the water on top. I have not however purchased a...

    Nitrates high-Is this deadly?

I have a 90 gallon tank. It has a false back, with a protien skimmer, bio-balls and the main pump that is contained in the rear chamber. The tank had been running for approx. seven years. I purchased it in a fish only condition (yes, it had sand) about 3 years ago. I have been adding live rock...
