I have been trying to feed it mysis and little chunks of silversides. Have not held it at its mouth though.. Only turkey baster but dont really stick. It is in medium flow.. Would think it would not open up all the way if it did not like the flow? Dunno tho should I move it? Gonna try again tonight.

Depends on bio-load corals etc. I change 5 gallons a week sometimes I skip a week or 2 lol. I just do it to replace trace elements.

Cool, after looking at a couple pics of hydroid colony's I agree. I am not going to worry about all the sponge everywhere but I have read mixed reviews about the hydroids. Should I kill em? My zoas dont seem to mind them and my candycanes seem fine also.

Thanks for the replys.. Yea im not too worried on temp but the fixture itself I was worried.. Nothing has happened yet but only been 2 days. Gonna go to lowes and see what I can find or just have to break down and buy a reefkeeper or something =))

I have the nova extreme if I remember correctly. The fan is just a plug. My ghetto timer is messing up. So is that ok or no way fix it right away type thing.

I feed my clowns a bunch of stuff they eat pretty much everything. Mine seems to love cyclops and mysis. I feed once a day just a little tho=) Fight the urge to overfeed..

Don't have any mag test around. Will have to go buy one. So it can be the mag messing with the dkh? How much alk supplement you think I can add without affecting ph? Mabye try 40-60ml split up during the night? Thanks for the help=)

I actually have some of that laying around.. But it says it raises ph as well. My ph is testing 8.2-8.4 cannot really tell on the color but its right there somewhere=) Dont want to raise it anymore.
