There is nearly no phosphate in my tap water and I'm on a well! My tap does just fine. I may get an RO/DI unit someday because yeah it is better and may help with algae a little bit, but I do not believe it is a necessity.

Thank you so much for your help! I'll continue to post as he gets better. However even now his color looks a little bit better. His face hasn't started to heal yet but whatever color he does have left looks a bit brighter so I guess thats a good sign.

I just got the zoecon and vita-chem. However the zoecon says I should have Kent Zoe as well and use them together. Is this really needed or will the vita-chem do the job? The Vita-Chem and zoe seem similar anyway. Also what is kent marine C like? These all are confusing me as the descriptions...
