thank you all for the advise i found my prob i got a bad ph test kit i took water to to local fish shops and it was 8.3 im going to get a ph monitor and im looking in to ro/di thanks again
when i first set the tank up i took a sample to my local fish shop and had it tested the nitrate was 0,alkalinity 5.5,ammonia 0,salinity 1.023 ,calcium 320,nitrite 0,ph 8.2 but he didnt check the phos
my tank has always stayed at 8.2 my tap water is 7.4 the salt brings it up to 8.2 i tested it in a bucket today after i found my tank over 8.8 and in another bucket i used tap water no salt it was 7.4 i put some proper ph 8.2 in it as much as the directions say it spiked it off the chart i thot...
