    Mushroom coral problem with shrimp?

My mushroom coral has been happy and plump for 3 months until last week, when the camelback shrimp decided to take up residence on it. Since then it has been stressing - curled up, not opening polyps often, the stringy mucous thing... could it be the shrimp's fault? and if so, what to do? Thanks...

    jbj 24g nano problems

interesting... I've borrowed a hood from my lfs until the new hood is returned. The lights are better than the jbj hood, and I've noticed that my critters are even happier than before (and they've always been pretty perky). And no problems with the internal ballast as opposed to the jbj setup...

    jbj 24g nano problems

I've had a jbj 24g nano set up since July 06 and have sent back 3 hoods and a ballast. And they have charged my LFS shipping both ways each time which I feel badly about. Am I doing something wrong or is this a common problem with JBJ? Could it be something to do with my electrical outlet? It's...

    Anemone reproducing question

I have a pink tip Haitian that "popped off" the tips of at least half it's tentacles last week. I have 7 in a net at the top of the tank and just tonight found 2 near the bottom of the tank that had attached to rocks. They are all alive - little green worm-like things with pink tips - about the...

<Something looks different if it is a pink tip...> what looks different? I purchased it from saltwaterfish back in Oct. and they called it "Pink Tip Haitian Anemone"

    VERY strange Anemone activity

So dropping tentacles is not an uncommon event? I didn't figure it was reproductive in nature, but strange I haven't been able to find any info on it on the net... Still, it was pretty bizarre to watch!

    VERY strange Anemone activity

The little buggers are still alive, tho one looks a little peekish. The "mama" anemone is in fine shape - as big and poofy as ever. Maybe stimulation from the new clown triggered the behavior? The clown rarely leaves the anemone - constant snuggling.

    VERY strange Anemone activity

These anemone "pieces" are really tiny and difficult to maneuver - about the size of the lead on the point of a pencil. I'm afraid a glob of glue would hurt them. They are in a net with some sand at the top of the tank. Is there an aquarium society that would be interested in this?

    VERY strange Anemone activity

Help! My pink tip anemone began "strangling" off its tips on 1/22/07. Over half of its tentacles have ejected the tips off in the past two days. The anemone has been totally happy and healthy for 4 months. Then suddenly on Sunday morning, it withdrew to it’s smallest size ever and began...
