Ok so here is what I finally decided to do after hearing from you all and researching online. I've decided to go with the Aquarium Master. Apparently their new tanks do use the cross support bar and glass. I'm going with the 135 standard aquarium that measures 72" long x 18" deep x 24" tall...

Imforbis no it's not really a Euro Brace .....as a Eurobrace would have the glass going on top of the tank from side to the other side and siliconed down. My glass was different and I believe Aquarium Masters still builds them the same way. The square glass piece in the middle of the tank is...

Also, does anyone know of a online site that sells 125 or 135 gal tanks for a great price? It seems like online from what I find they are much more than my local LFS? Thanks

Ok. Would you guys trust a company that doesn't have the cross supports from the factory? Like Elite tanks just like Aquarium Masters doesn't use cross supports they use thick Glass siliconed to the side which is the issue I have. But Elite says their glass is low-iron for extra clarity.

Ok cool 2quills...thanks all for the input on my way to get it now. Also, just to update everyone I sold my 135 with the brace this morning and I actually got $210 for it and I had paid $150 for it. So at least half of my refugium I'm buying will be paid for :) So off to buy a NEW 125 or 135...

Thanks John for the welcome. So I'm still stuck on someone saying it's an "OK" deal not great not bad. Just curious how much would a great deal be? Is it because it's bare bones or what is it missing? Also, wouldn't a tank that same size be more $$ just for the tank before anything at all is...

Ya that's the issue I'm having is finding that tank new as it is a great size and will fit perfectly in my cabinet that I'm building and it's 50 gallons vs. 40 and it's slightly taller than a frag tank low boy which is perfect for the skimmer. I figure I could always remove the silicone on the...

Ok I see what you mean by the cleaning because all the crap would get stuck u see the middle divider glass vs. On the outside of each side right. So my question is how much would it cost me to build this on my own cause I'm handy and have no problem going to Home Depot and getting sheets of...

Ok gonna change it up again and keep this exciting. I found in my local craigslist a guy selling a sump/refugium tank looks like it was probably made but looks good and is about 50 gallons for $100 he was asking $150. Measurements are 48" long x 18" deep x 14" tall. Is the height good or...

ya I'm thinking long. Got a new from you all. So called several LFS and now another brand came up in a few of them. Elite tanks? They said the warranty is not as good as Aqueon but the quality of work is way better the silicon is thinner and put on more professionally. They also said the...

Ok next question I do want to do a Reef tank and we all know people say if your going to do REEF then TALL Tank is better.....my question is WHY? Aquarium Masters has a 120 but it's tall and not as wide and Aqueon that's the same?

So I have a choice from 3 of my local LFS stores. 2 of them say get the Aqueon 125 gallon reef with single overflow currently $539 or so and it was just on sale for $364 but that ended July 13 and they can't give me that price or there is another LFS that sells Aquarium Masters tanks and it's a...

Cool thanks Silverado and 2quills for the great info so far. I think I'm going to resell the tank for the same price maybe a little more than what I got it for. I don't see a spot on the tank anywhere where there were plastic braces that may have broke. From what my LFS said is that it was...

Hi Silverado....thanks for the welcome :) Ya the stand is not even half done I did plan on add the 2x4 that sit flush with framing and do plan on putting on skin and then painting black. Do you think I can put the center 2x4's on top of the crossing 2x4 and put in 2 screw on top and bottoms to...

Hi Jay0705.....thanks for the response. Ya not sure what to think of the brace. I thought it was standard on tanks like this. Yesterday when I filled it up, I took the brace off and the top glass you see there in the middle with the brace fell into the tank because the tank flexed out a...
