What brand do you use? In DT? or sump/refugium? What part of Minnesota? Lol

those of you with bigger systems (75 and larger) which do you prefer? 1 large heater? Or 2 smaller ones?

For you that have a sump/Refugium under the tank. What do you have in place to prevent overflow during a power outage? Overflow boxes?

Just throw a "ball" of macro in there then?

So tap water can be used for a FO Thank? Nice! I was always under the impression that it had to be RO/DI water. Any conditioning of the water before it goes in the tank? Or just mix water with salt and it's good?

I'm looking for a simple sump/ refugium that has a space for catching bigger stuff going through that I don't want in my Macroalgae, a bigger space for Macro, and finally, a space for return pump. My DIY skills leave something to be desired lol , so i'd rather just purchase a reasonably priced...

How large of a refugium do you recommend for say anywhere from a 55 to a 90 gallon fish only? And what kind of lighting for macro? I'd like to eventually get it to where the algae in the refugium is the only source of filtration.

If a refugium is being used, is a protein skimmer needed? What about a HOB filter? Was thinking about an AquaClear 110. But don't want a refugium and any other filter(s) to end up canceling each other out of that makes sense?
