    high ph and calcium levels

Didn't even think to test the water before, just assumed it was ok ... I'm using Blue Life Aiptasia Control and Red Sea Coral Pro Salt (no salt the last change because the LFS gave me free Saltwater because the TDS was high on their RO/DI.)

    high ph and calcium levels

I was noticing my corals not doing well and had a couple snails die. Tested the water and found the PH at 8.8 and Calcium at 540 Things I've changed recently is run carbon and used some Aiptasia treatment. Any ideas on what is causing the levels to rise? and treatment? I'll be doing a water...

I went to my LFS and boght....

I'm trying to trap my bi-color right now. I don't want to pull the rock out to catch the mean little b@$t@rd. I picked up a peppermint shrimp and the bi-color thought it was feeding time right before the shrimp even got to the sand.

Yes, I've just noticed that the bicolor is beginning to be a bully. The firefish is now missing 1/2 of his dorsal. I'll probably be taking him the the LFS for a trade soon.

    Cycle Complete - what next?

I'll wait on adding the corals for now and will be looking into the Eclipse retrofit kits for better lighting, or a different hood all together as I'm not using the biowheel anyways... just the Fluval204. I've just taken a new job and will be moving in the next couple of months anyways so no...

    Cycle Complete - what next?

My cycle has completed everything is testing good Ammonia - 0 Trites - 0 Trates - 0 PH 7.6 Before I add live stock should I do a water change? Also, I'm using an Eclipse hood and the LFS recommended using Pro Glo 15W lights, is this sufficient to keep corals? I'll be adding powerheads and a...

    Cleaning Crew ?

What do you feed the hermits? I just put 10 snails and 8 hermits in my tank as recommended by my LFS. Only a few pieces of Marshall Island LR. I don't see much on the rock for them the hermits to eat but they do seem to be poking around the LS. Oh and ammonia was just slightly high, LFS said the...
