    Remember it is the lenght of the tank that counts.....especially if it is going to be a reef due to the need for the light to reach the corals...ect. JTW thanks for the spelling lesson!!!!!

    JTW-- Are you nuts....you dont need a 4 inch bed for your sand. That is way too much...110 lb for a 55 gallon is ridiclous!!!!! Try a 2 inch base.
