I used the stuff by blue life and it worked great. Just get it over with and get you tank clean.. THE longer you wait the more your corals will suffer. I have snails, crabs, SPS, LPS, soft corals, clams, worms, mushrooms and had no ill effects.

I am sure I can see them and that it is the ick cysts. I lost no fish thank God. They started out by the hundreds. And have slowly tapered off to only a few. I wish I had the equipment to take a picture because I believe many people end up suffering this same fate by taking chances and not Qt.

I would not agree that 3 weeks is enough. I can see the cyst stage in my tank and it has been 50 days and 7 water changes since I removed the fish.

A freshwater dip will not always rid all parasites from the fish. using a QT guarantees you can find and treat all infections before contaminatiing your whole tank. If you want the short route for QT you could treat the fish with a wide variety of treatments for the recomended time for each...

The digital guage always reads correct in the salinity solution . I can take the bottle up stairs and check it and it is always dead on. Maybe If I take water samples from both tanks and get them at the same temp I could verify the auto temp function was working.
