I was just wondering if there is a type of lighting that would be prone to cause more of an algae problem. I know that algae is not caused by lighting, but I know it can be accelerated by it. So is there a type of lighting that is more beneficial to have over another as far as controlling aglae?

I upgraded 2 of my powerheads in my 40 from maxi-jet 600's to 1200's, and now my royal gramma is breathing heavy and seems stressed. Could there be too much flow? The turnover rate is 590 gph so just under 15x, doesnt seem like it would be too much but what do you guys think?

I currently have 2 maxi-jet 1200's, I see they have a maxi-jet 1600 upgrade kit that is supposed to really increase the flow. Does anyone have any experience with this upgrade? It looks like a simple yet effective upgrade.

I just got an algae blenny in my 125 FOWLR and its chasing my hippo tang. I've never seen this before. It must be something with the hippo tang because my yellow tang, clowns, and damsels can swim right in front of it and, nothing. Should I be worried? has anyone else had this problem?

I just got a 3 stripe damsel for my tank and now the smaller of my 2 percs chases him. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it just part of the initiation process into the new tank? Should I get a couple more so they can school? I hope it stops and they can all get along.
