Here's an updated full-tank-shot of my 29 gallon after a frag swap last weekend. I also have a 90 gallon cycling (with a shipment of additional fiji live rock on the way from SWF.com).
Actually, it isn't a shrimp. It is a stomatopod. They are very entertaining to keep (in their own tank). Just buy the $12 trap; it will work with patience.
I just bought a used 75 gallon tank. About 100 lb of live rock came with it. The tank was in horrible shape; I almost cried when I saw it. It is covered with hair algae and aiptasia as big as my hand. But anyway, my question is what would be the best way to get the live rock back into good...
I used a mantis trap (bought from this site) to catch mine. It took some patience, but eventually I caught him by putting mysis in the trap. Now he has his own tank.
By the way, mine was in there for a very long time before I noticed a fatality. Once he gets low on bristle worms something...

Same here; just cash. I know the host was at our frag swap in Chattanooga in August. They had quite a bit of Kenya Tree Frags. I sure hope there will...
Is anyone going to the North Georgia Frag Swap (just north of Atlanta)? It is tomorrow. I'm pumped.
Also, I'm picking up my (new to me) 75 gal. overflow tank with stand (oak), VHO lighting, skimmer, live rock, etc. .... bought it for $375.
I've had a xenia and stomatopod (mantis) hitchkiker. Had to buy the mantis its own tank.
There was a thread recently where someone actually had a fish hitchhiker (maybe it was a wrasse...not sure).

It should not be knocked around the tank. If it has a stem, stick it into a hole in some live rock. I keep mine pretty high in the tank with...

See this thread. I stated that I don't know why some say they are bad. All they do is clean up algae; that's good as far as I'm concerned.

I have several keyhole limpets (never had a problem...several months)...
I have used flatworm exit in the DT. It didn't bother anything. The fish can still see! I think if you were to dip your rocks first, siphon any visible on your substrate, and then (last) treat the tank directly...it will probably take a few treatments, then you might take care of the problem.

It is actually Hyper Melaninization. That is why I was asking if you had a frogspawn. They...
Well, I decided on a green clown goby and added it to the tank yesterday. I think I made a good choice. I was worried that it may never get any food being in the same tank with some greedy eaters, but it has already snagged some brine. I'll post some pictures this week sometime.
I've also...
