you could try using a mirror i haven't heard success nor failure with this, but its worth a try the idea is that you put a mirror in the tank for aggressive fish to fight with wile the other gets used to his new home. it could work. :) good luck.

i am no expert but i think its called stray voltage i think i have heard of some people using some kind of a "ground" otherwise check your heaters and pumps. sry i am not a ton of help but i have heard of it happening before. :) good luck!

ok what i was thinking was copper but if the only thin you added was a fish then it shouldnt be that. something i would recomend it to buy a poly-pad poly-filter they are amazing you pit it in the water and it will change colors to what you have, blue is copper and brown is just waste and fish...
