    PH is a solid 8.4 W/aquarium pharmaceutical test kit Nitrates O,Carbonate harness a little high also 215 ppm.

    That should not be a problem, you could lightly scrub them before putting them in your tank...Discard old water.

    protein skimmer

    I'm installing a new proiein skimmer on my 55 gal. tank but not getting "sticky" bubbles. PH is 8.4 and salinity is @1.26? I havent checked carbonate hardness is this a factor?
