    Help Me Choose A Filter

I have finally had it with my 2 year old Fluval #204! I have a CPR BakPak 2R protein skimmer in a 24 gallon reef tank with live rock and live sand. I would appreciate any suggestions for replacing the Fluval with a new mechanical filter. It has to fit into a small opening on the top of the tank...

    SeaHorse Tank Option

I would go for a tank that's not too tall for seahorses, but, the refugium sounds like a great idea so I vote for the 25 tall.

    Fat Clownfish

I've had my f. perc clownfish for about 2 years now, and today she's looking really fat, all of a sudden- I just noticed this today. Is this a medical condition, or is she just overeating? She's in a reef tank with good water quality. Thank you. :)

    Poll on DSB yes/no

I have a "DSB" that is about 2-3 inches deep that has been running for 2 1/2 years... most people recommend more sand, but mine seems to be functioning well, with lots of bubbles (the good kind!).

Outraged about Early Show "Finding Nemo"

I sent some letters as well. On CBS.com it said as a description for the show "Tetra shows how easy it is to set up your own saltwater tank". I'm going to boycott tetra for this..... (not like I really buy any of their products anyway, though....!) :(

No more 10g nano reef :(

I'm sorry to hear about that... :( Pufferfan, for more info on nano reefs, check out the new nano-reef fourm. Nano reefs are anything less than 25-30 gallons, and require more attention to the water quality and the animals added than normal tanks usually.

    Who Quarantine's their fish

After I lost one fish to disease, I finally set up a QT tank. I think it is very important to have, and has saved me a lot of trouble. Not only does it prevent disease, it also helps the fish get used to your schedule, water, etc and helps it get stronger by getting enough food w/o the stress of...

    Feather duster (worm exposed) question

"Questions: 1.) Since it moved so fast when it retracted back into the tube, wouldn't it retract as quick when out of the tube if startled or such? Mine isnt, and that concerns me." From my understanding, once they are completely out of the tube they cannot re-enter 2.) as of tonite it is still...
