I'm setting up a new 180 reef tank (60w x 24d x 29h) and I'm in the process of installing the lighting into the canopy. Are two 250W metal halides sufficient? I have a few VHOs and/or power compacts that I could pull from me existing tank if needed. Thanks

Last major hurricane took out my power for a week! IMO .... I'd be looking for a small generator if you're serious about saving your tank for an extended power outage. Glad everything worked out this time.

I have one and it's surviving well without any parasites in my tank (110 gallon reef) and eats whatever food I drop in. I have a friend with another one (90 gallon reef) and the only issue they have had is that the cleaner annoys his clam by picking at the mantle.

I bought a Coral Beauty and it appears to be in fine health. After the bout of Ick I had earlier this year, I wanted to QT the fish before introducing it to my DT. I have never tried to hypo a fish before so I figure this is a good time to try the technique.

Thanks Al --- I did a 25% water change a few days ago (it's a 20 gal DT) using water from my DT for the replacement and added Stress Zyme to boost the bacteria. I'll do the same tomorrow and just try to keep the parameters until control. I'm sure glad I invested in a RO/DI filter.
