Yeah, just a large 35 gallon trash can that I bought at lowes. I will scrub down with vinegear and see if that can eliminate the problem.

Hmmm...well, if I run the water into a clean bottle it comes back at 0 and once I get it out of my trash can it is around 70 so there is something in there that is contributing to the high TDS. I guess it is not stagnant water, maybe something fell in or something weird.

Yeah, it is holding water for top off and to make saltwater, not for drinking. As TeresaQ mentions, will the water get stagnant and cause a rise in TDS if it is stagnant for too long?

Alright, I had it running all night and it never went below 7.1. Keep in mind that I have the bubble count probably 6-8x faster than I used to run it and I slowed the effluent drip rate a little lower than I used to run it...not sure what else to try.

The last time that I had new bulbs they just flickered and did not turn on fully for 4 hours or so, do these typically have a burn in period or something like that or do they usually turn on right away?

I do not think that it is the starter beacuse they turn on, just really weak and they kind of pulse. The new and old bulbs do not work or any combination of both. I bought the ballast new about a year ago, I am hoping that is not the problem since it is so new. I am not sure where the starters...
