in a tall 20 gallon tank, for a long tentacle anemone?

sorry to all if these seem like beginner questions -- they are! I am new at all of this and trying to save the anemone! It seems as if the other fish and the starfish are all doing well-- but at what point do I take it out?

oh, and 20 gallon tall tank, set up for 3 months.

I have to T5 HO on my tank-- one power-glo, one marine-glo, both 24W. Tank: Ammonia- .25 [too high-- ..?] PH- 7.4 [too low-- how to fix?] Nitrate-20 Nitrite-0 Salinity-1.027 -- it just looks like it may already even be dead :( :(

The issue is far larger than simply capturing bin laden, and focusing on such things would only be a sneeze in solving the actual issue. Years ago, yes. that would be a solution. Today, it is much deeper, and he is more of a ghost, simply to lay blame on, not actually put an end to it.

Tank is just about two months old... 2 false percula clowns 1 seastar scavenger snails 1 firefish 1 tiny horseshoe crab ...and the long tentacle anemone I added everything slowly so they would adjust. Tank cycled, and i've been doing water replenishments every couple days.

I am using T5 light system, and the following: Ammonia- .25-.5 pH- 7.8 Alkalinity- 300 Nitrite- 0-.5 Salinity- 1.026 So, ammonia and nitrate a lil high, and I am lowering the salinity now-- recommendations?? Thanks!!

i have a bit of green algae starting to grow in my tank too-- i have a lot of red/orange algae, but a little bit of green is starting to grow now too-- should I take any measures?

So are you suggesting no cover/hood then? If i went with a crafty home-styled home depot plastic one, there would be air going in through holes in the back of the filter/wires, etc-- but you suggest this is not enough? Or i could also leave an inch gap in the front? I am basically trying to...

about once a week-- salt builds up on the edges of the tank top/edges-- either way its a broken hood, i need a replacement, but a normal hood wont fit with the light clamps....

I had a tank given to me-- and after getting all the saltwater stuff for christmas, found out the hood is broken. I have a GLO lighting system that attatches to the sides of the tank and rests about 3-4 inches above the top of my tank, but i need a hood that will allow for the light's clamps on...

it is white and almost bubbly in some places? and theres some dark purple too-- some of the rocks it has taken over completely!! it looks like there is red/purple stuff coming out of the white in places, and other places just red/purple on the rocks alone....

ok-- so if the ammonia and ph are both high-- would it be because of the algae? and what step should i take next?
