    Adding more lr

I would cycle it in a separate container for a week or so if it is already cured rock just to make sure before I put it in the tank. But as usual whenever you do move rock around your tank it will spike up the nitrates but it should not be too much a problem. Just do your regular water change...

Do I really need to Wait???

be patient with the hobby. it is worth the wait. it seems to be that your tank is a little mature since you did not really start from scratch but even then your tank will go through another mini cycle of its own. your lfs is right not to add anything else until the water stabalize. would...

    My 150G Tank

I think I see 2 anglefish in that tank - coral beauty, flame angel. You should get rid of one of them or one might kill the other. One of the things you should invest in is live rock (as much as you can afford - a modest estimate is about 1 pound per gallon) - This will be a natural...

    lighting question

I don't think you can keep any metal halide lights (even retro fit kits) with that canopy as there will be a lot of heat issues. You might be able to keep some power compacts or t5 retrofit kits which can hook to your canopy for your tank. But you need to get a couple of exhaust fans to keep...

This green hair algae is out of control!!!!!

Few things you need to do before you start adding any more fish in your tank. The first is water circulation. Do you have enough pumps to criculate the water (try to aim a minimum of 20x the tank size but this can be disputed) Check your water parameters. My guess is you have high nitrates...

    cured rock pricing

I will not pay more the $5 a pound from the LFS. Other then that look around as you can get guys breaking down their tanks and sometimes if you are lucky you can get it as cheap as $1 a pound

    Blue ring octopus at LFS

not one of the species of octopus you want to get. They are deadly. If it bites you there is no anti venom. All the can do is put you on a ventilator and hope you live.

    Cycle Already!!

you can put a piece of raw shrimp to get it cycled a little quicker. I believe there is a cycle solution you can get at a LFS but I have never used it. I would take my time with it and go slow. Also, if you are going to cure live rock in your tank make sure you also do frequent water changes.

Has anyone had any experience with Eshopp's Wet/Dry Filters?

Would not use a wet dry filter unless you are just having a FOWLR tank. Even then I would make it as natural as possible. If you want to keep corals just get a sump with a good skimmer and lots of live rock. (you might also include a refugium)
