I too lost my kelloggis..I've turned there tank into a fish only tank and am starting a new tank for another herd of erectus...I just lost big mama jama...my oldest female erectus this morning , so am morning too...but agree with bleaching or starting a new tank

My fav's are my erectus....not only are they very hardy [ they survived a move...hehe] but can also change color depending upon their mood ....my females turn ivory and my males a pink when their mating...Don't get me wrong , I love my reidis too , but there's just something about my big barrel...

Tank mates can include - red reef hermits , dwarf blue leg hermits , porcelain crabs , pepp shrimp , camel back shrimp , any kind of gobie [ yellow , green , citron , rusty , watchman , etc ] , dragonettes - scooters , green or spotted, any kind of snail except whelps and cowries , a royal...

Ya , cycle with dead shrimp or ghost feed, and no to the serpent star , try asterina's, red reef hermits and/or snails and/or pencil urchins [if no soft corals , they can snack on them].
