    lets see those clowns!!!

RIP these little ones. They only made it a week. LFS had them in 1.016 and I think the 4 hours acclimation to 1.026 got to them, not to mention they seemed a bit skinny and never ate. Was looking forward to them growing up :(. Good looking, anyway.

    Monti Cap question

I think it would be a good small polyped stony to add. Should retain color and grow some, but don't expect crazy growth. Plus easy to frag & hardy, so you could really try it in both tanks. It will likely outgrow a 14g tank though.

    carnations

Honestly, your dendro doesn't look good at all. It's not inflated and its polyps are very retracted. What are you trying to feed it? Do you have enough flow? They require a lot of food, and a lot of flow. Not feeding / deflated Out and feeding, notice the difference in polyp expansion The...

Need a design for 10 gal sump

Here's a draft I did for my sump, about 15 gallon I think? It is fed from the tank and gravity drains back in, so you can ignore the bulkhead placement, I'd assume you'd maybe not need them if draining from tank and pumping back up? I also ended up scrapping the baffles on the right hand side...

    any divers out there?

Cancun / Cozumel has spectacular diving. Did you ever get a chance to dive a cenote in the jungles there? Another awesome experience. Highly recommend if you haven't yet.

    any divers out there?

You're on the right track - get certified first! I think that anyone with an interest in reef tanks should get certified and go diving at least once. I got a diving license before a driving license ;). For me, there's nothing like seeing the animals in their natural habitat, or looking out into...

    Going topless...

In lieu of an anemone, your clown may choose to shack up in a coral like xenia, or the hammers you want. I would definitely not get an anemone for a) a 12 gallon and b) PC lighting. Recipe for a long slow death.
