Im fixing to get a 150 gallon and put it in my loft on my 3rd floor condo. They were built in 2006. Im going to put it up against the wall, should be ok,right?
I got home last night and go take a ganders in my fish tank to see how my new mated cb pair are doing after barely surviving the shipment to me. Low and behold my peppermint is literally on top of one of the cb shrimps. Now i had been out and had a few cocktails and thought i was seeing things...
I dont know, but i never have any ammonia. I test weekly. lights on,lights off, upside down, etc. i was more worried about the metals in the tap water. would regular bottled water suffice? because we have tons of that!
I don't have a ro/di unit yet. Should i still do water changes with tap water? I've been using tap water for almost a year now witha 55 and 20 gallon fuge/simp. And have just been filling up when water evaporates. My parameters stay good. But i do get a bit of a algae problem.
I went to all costs to get mine out. I found the rock he was in and cracked the rock in half so i could get him out. It killed him but i did'nt care! I WANTED him out of my tank!
i had a little bit of microbubbles when i first used the skimmer. But i redirected the flow into a hob power filter and just left the actual hob filter off.Worked great! I've had no problems with the skimmer yet (knock on wood) and it skims up some good junk.
that filter sock is annoyin,i have to wash it like every other day. any ideas to replace it with something and keep the splashing and noise down? I did a search but did'nt find anything to quite answer my question.
I,unfortunately, did my homework AFTER buying my SS. I only have it in a 55 and i'll prob be taking him back to the lfs to trade for something else here soon.
Coralife 65 skimmer has been running great,i turned it off to empty it out,and when i turned it back on,it's not skimming now? Any idea's as to why? it's pissing me off.
Sorry to bring up an OLDDDD thread but i did this and it works perfect! No bubbles. plus some extra filtration!
