I was wondering if any of you have experience in "alternative" sand. I have read that you can use Oyster shell, or building sand from home depot. Is this true does any one have experience with using these? trying to save monies in as many ways as possible Thanks in advance for your time. Mike

So my skimmer is still working but its bot producing as much foam as before ive cleaned the unit out thoroughly... prob the pumps going bad huh well common sense leads me down that path, im getting foam its just not as wet and bubbly as b4 thanks for any help
