I have a bunch of silicone holding my overflow box in and want to remove to re-do it. Just razor blade it carefully or is there something else I could do / use?
I turned on the light (after it had been off for about a half hour) just to see something and seen a bunch of little bugs scatter (probably around 50 or so). They kind of look like little ants in a way. I couldn't really get a picture of them since I don't have a macro lense, but I have a video...

Thinking about breaking down my 90g and setting up a 10g. Some of the stuff from my 90g will be going over to the 10g (Clown Pair, rock, etc.). I plan on getting rid of my 2 Koralia 2's and 1 Koralia 4 and replace them with 2 Koralia Nanos. What would be a good filter for a 10g (3 fish max, soft...
I just purchased about 50lbs+ of base rock but only thinking about putting 20-30lbs of it in my 90gallon. The guy was using it in his FW set up. Do I need to do anything special before putting it in my tank? Right now I have about 90lbs of LR, 3 Ricordeas, 1 GSP, and a Canary Wrasse.
I was going to sell everything off, but a local hobbist talked me into keeping the tank. My plan to setup it for aggressive but unsure what fish to look at. My g/f wants a Porc. Puffer, is this ok for a 90?
Anyone have any pictures of how you run your cords? I try to keep mine nice and neat but I feel there is more I can do to clean up it a little more. I hate looking underneath the tank and seeing a bunch of cords everywhere.
I have a complete 90 gallon saltwater setup that I am looking to sell. Everything that I have to go with it is no more then a month old and I still have all the boxes to go with them. The setup includes:
90 gallon corner drilled tank
2 Stands and custom canopy (both stands and canopy are...
My first fish was a Purple Pseudochromis which I let roam my 90g for about 3 weeks. I have recently added a Yellow Wrasse (been in there for about 5 days now) and the Purple Pseu. constantly harasses him. How long does it usually take for the Purple Pseu. to get use to the new tank mate?
I bought a Purple Dottyback and QT him for about 3 weeks just to make sure he was eating fine and checking him everyday. Last night I thought he would be ready for my 90g, so I acclimated him just to make sure temperature was the same and everything. Well all day today my family said they...
I recently bought a peppermint shrimp and ever since I've added him to the tank, he just ends up in the overflow or my sump. Anything to use to prevent him from getting in there?
Everytime I go to the LFS, they test my water (I take a sample so they know my levels before selling me anything and I get a better feeling having my water tested twice by two different test kits) and tell me my Alk is low (told me it was about 3). I took a sample around 1 p.m. (lights go on at...
I'm curious to know how you feed all your fish, inverts, and corals? All at once or different days for different creatures? I don't have any livestock yet, but the more I read and research, the more I see different creatures need different foods.
I know you want around 10x the turnover for the tank. Is that just through the sump or does that include what the powerheads turnover too?
What are some good brand powerheads?
What return pump should I run on a 90?
I received 2 stands when I bought my 90 gallon setup, so 1 has just been sitting in the garage. The guy I bought the setup from does 'fixer upper stuff' so he custom built the stand himself, and looks to be really sturdy. I don't know what something like this would go for, so make some offers...
The silicone for baffles are drying now. I was wondering if it was ok to run my protein skimmer with regular tap was as a test run to make sure there are no leaks and everything looks / runs good.
