    Hypo stressful to new arrivals?

I've seen some people put some pretty beat up fish into hypo on these forums and had them come out alive, but I feel like you may want to get a new arrival eating in the QT tank before you start putting them through more stress from hypo.

    Eels and hypo

That's what everyone says but I disagree. I did hypo about a year ago on everything except my eels, and didn't get ich back until now when one of my heaters burnt out. It doesn't just appear out of nowhere, it had to have been on something on the tank. Eels have mucus covered skins that could...

    Eels and hypo

I've decided hypo's going to be the best way for me to treat my trigger for his ich. I need to separate all the fish, so the eels are going to need to be treated as well. Do the handle hypo? I'm just asking this because i know they don't handle copper well, and I don't want to kill my two eels.

Large Blue Spiny Lobster with Triggers?

My blue line will peck at the Hermits in my tank even after he's eaten and I know he shouldn't be hungry. I wouldn't want to spend the money on a lobster.

    Feeding a Blue Line Trigger

Yeah I could see him being a very aggressive fish. He ignores the two eels he's with, even during feeding time which surprised me, but can be aggressive towards me at times. I'm going to try picking up some clams and muscles tomorrow, I'd like to see him behave naturally and work for his meals...

    Feeding a Blue Line Trigger

hah yeah i'm going to try that. This guy actively goes around picking up empty shells looking for snails and crabs to munch on, so I'm sure he'd enjoy getting a clam open.

    Feeding a Blue Line Trigger

Picked this guy up a few days ago and am trying to decide on some good food items to feed him. I've been feeding him the usual frozen krill, squid and clam but I'm trying to find some other food items to give him to help keep his teeth worn down. He just loves eating the little hermits and...

    Tusk combo

Yeah I think i kinda over estimated how tough tusks are but based on what you guys are saying it's not going to work. I'm just going to wait until I upgrade then get an equally tough trigger to put with my grouper so things (hopefully) balance out. Thinking maybe a volitan too if anyone thinks...

    ATM Tanks are crazy

My little cousin just turned 13 and is 6'7. Was quite the interesting experience bringing him and his little sisters out trick or treating.

    Tusk combo

Yeah I'm not going to do it. I might actually trade in my grouper when I upgrade to a 150, because from what I'm reading it seems like it's going to be difficult to keep anything at all with him.

    Tusk combo

I have a tank setup with a Miniatus grouper and two eels, and have had it like this way for quite a while. My LFS has a hareliquin tusk about the same size as my grouper (5 inches), and i was wondering if this was something that i'd be able to keep with him. I know my groupers an aggressive fish...

    90 Gallon Tank Diary

Not going to get into the ray, but you really shouldn't just buy fish and put them straight into your tank, especially when you own something that's as big of an ich magnet as a tang.

    Blue Ring

Make sure you keep your nitrates down since you have fish in with your octo that are also producing a lot of waste. Octos only can handle trace amounts of nitrates from what I hear so keep up on those water changes.

    Undulated Trigger ???

Yeah you don't want to mix that fish. They get big/interesting enough alone that you can devote one tank to them but be happy with the triggers you already have.

    Clown and Humu Problems...

Make sure that you don't copper your DT or the die off on your live rock will wipe off your fish. In all honesty that many aggressive fish in that size tank is probably causing so much waste build up that it lowered your fishes immune systems so now they have ich. Not to mention triggers aren't...

    Blue Line Trigger Aggression

Yeah not my ideal fish lol. Although my groupers a jerk to other fish, he's perfectly fine with me if i have to go in and move something around. I wouldn't want a fish that would start biting on me if i had to move a rock ect.
