    Thank you it was in the rubble in the bottom filter and there was about 35 mixed in so i boiled all the rubble...hope that works

    I once heard of a maroon clown using a condy as a host but it's very rare. I had 2 that got very large and my fish were afraid of them, wouldn't go near them.

    Did you test the water in July to make sure you got a cycle? You should have put in a few raw deli shrimp to jump start the cycle when you first set up the tank. You might be just be getting a cycle now by adding a clean up crew that size. Test your water parameters and post if you can.

    If the anemone is new to your tank, give it time. It's getting acclimated to it's new home and lighting as long as your tank is well established and water parameters are up to par. If the anemone is moving, make sure your powerheads and filter intakes are covered.

    It may be a security thing, at night the clown feels safer when sleeping in the anemone. If it is threatened or insecure in the daytime or when the lights are on, it will probably go to the anemone for safety. just my .02
