so for the first time i went up super close and looked at the sand and found hundreds of weird light black and cream color striped copepod like creatures running around fairly fast. they are extremely tiny to take a picture of. im not sure if they are copepods and i would really like to know...

so basically my tank is two islands and the xenia has taken over one of the islands. there are some zoos buried in the xenia forest there that i wish i could see... the island with smallest amount of xenia where all fragged once but they grew back in about a month. LOL

some female clownfish do that. sometimes for no reason, sometimes for nesting. its really really annoying tho! it messes up ur sand bed.

oh thats cool, i know its not a carpet anemone for sure tho...

oh and an interesting fact about it, when i place a chunk of food in the middle it closes up like an anemone, but it takes about one minute - two minutes before it closes up completely. and this guy can eat some really big chunks of food... not like a normal mushroom

ive had this for a while now and have always wondered what it is.

my tank makes me smile :)
