    Infamous Bryopsis

Hey guys I got a slight problem. I've had an on again off again problem with algae for the past few months in my nano-reef and never really thought anything of it until I decided to do a little research into what this could be and how it is so resilient. Turns out I got a ton of Bryopsis...

Refugium Setup in a Biocube 14?

Hey everyone! In the past month or so I've had an ongoing cyano/hair algae problem in my Biocube 14. My Xenia, zoas, and mushrooms are doing just fine as well as my two false percs sixline wrasse, cleaner and peppermint shrimps. However, despite the fact that I keep using chemiclean and doing...

    Weird series of events....

Hey guys. Noticed that my rock near the top of the tank (14g Biocube) keeps sprouting air bubbles almost every day and it looks like I've had a small outbreak of some hair algae. ALso, my hammer coral looks like he's a goner. Any solutions or connections to why this is happening? Thanks

    Pymgy angel in a 14gal?

Hey guys I've got a fairly established 14 gallon biocube, been going smoothly now for about 2 months. Right now I've got 2 false percs, a banggai cardinal, a yellow watchman and a skunk cleaner in there, along with about 17-18 lbs live rock, a xenia coral, and a colony of zoas. I'm feeling that...

Thinking about a 20gal reef. Thoughts?

I'm thinking about starting a 20 gallon reef. I was thinking something along the lines of 5-10 lbs LR and 10-15 lbs of coral as well as 10-15 lbs sand . My species list as planned now:   -2 false percs -watchman goby -cleaner shrimp -choco chip star -six line wrasse (?) -some anenomes     This...

    Weird Trigger Behavior

Hey guys... I have a fairly small Rectangle Trigger in my 60g FOWLR, and he is doing great. He is getting along pretty well with the tankmates and does not seem that aggressive, for now.... Anyway, I put in strips of algae in the morning for my herbivores, and all of a sudden, I see my Rectangle...

What to Do With My Old 10g

About 10 months ago, I switched from my 10g freshwater tank to a 60g FOWLR saltwater. Now my 10g is sitting in my garage, taking up space. I was thinking something along the lines of a nano reef tank, but I don't know. I was also considering a frag tank, but I was looking for suggestions from...

Tips on What to Do With My Old 10g

Ok..... about 10 months ago I switched from my puny, 10g freshwater tank to a 60g, saltwater. Now the 10g is sitting in my garage taking up room, and I was thinking that maybe I could turn that into a nano reef system. I have doubts tho..... Would that tank be too small for just a couple of...

    Stock Advice

I have a 60g FOWLR, and I'm not sure whether I'm maxed out with fish or not. I have been looking through the message boards lately and some people say that they have an enormous amount of fish in a small system. Anyway, I have a Flame Angel, Scopas Tang, Lunare Wrasse, and 3 damsels in my tank...

    Last Fish Suggestions?

I currently have a 60 gallon fish only tank with an internal protein skimmer, filter, etc. I am interested in getting possibly a Long-Nosed Butterfly and/or a Rectangle Trigger to complete my tank. I now have a Flame Angel(2 1/2-3"), Scopas Tang(3 1/2"), Lunare Wrasse(3" in length), and 3...
