I have seen all sorts of recomendations for the carbonate hardness of reef tanks. Kent recomends dKH of 8-11 for reef tanks, Thiel recomends 14-18 and others recomend even higher. Does anyone know the dKH of natural sea water and the recomendations they have heard???
