I was doing 20% water changes a day after I went the 7 days with that Chem Marina Stop Parasites to help drop the Ammonia. Thats when I was reading and thought that I might be doing more harm then good not letting the tank fight back itself. But I guess I was doing the right thing .

Thank you for the fast reply! I am learning a lot . The stuff I used to treat the Ick was Chem Marina STOP Parasites. Ok now if i do the water changes will that restart the cycle? From what I was reading I was told to leave it alone but I think your right unless I help get the Ammonia down form...

Where would you get Tufa? I just looked it up and can’t find any for sale. Is it live rock? Can you put it in right away because it’s not live and it will get life from the other rock? It’s not a good idea to put live rock in a cycled tank is it ?

Not a bad idea . I know I saw a post on the boards the other day and somebody did something with a soda bottle and had a diagram? I was told to remove all the fish and put them in hypo in my QT and leave the DT fishless for a month . I have to pull out 4 Damsels and one Maroon Gold Stripe...

Does anybody have a good way to catch fish in your DT to put them in your QT ? I need to Hypo the fish for ick and and I don't want to remove your live rock? Rather get thoes little suckers out and put them in the QT.

Thank you . I was doing the 82 temp and the Ick treatment for 5 days as the bottle said but I now have a crazy Ammonia prob. So I put the carbon with the ammonia back in the filter and started the AMMO lock . Hope I dont kill everything. I hate putting all this crap in the tank.
