ive had this 2ft eel in my 75 gallon tank for about 4 days and he dosent seem to want to come out and eat he just stays under the sand and peeps his head out once in a while and the food is right there whats going on and what should i do? and also how long can it go before needs food?

it is a 48"smartlite in great condition only was used for about 4-5 months
