    Setting up a QT

I've been stressing my fish pretty hard lately as I was trying to install a skimmer and replumb my fuge. I'm going to be replacing the fuge system over the weekend and was thinking it'd be a good idea to put the fish in QT while I setup. I think It'd be a good idea to just go ahead and put them...

    Setting up a QT

I was reading yesterday and came across an article that basically said I could bring a sponge filter over from my DT, fill it with water from my DT and I'd be ready to go. Is this possible? I figured I'd have to cycle my QT tank. Anyone have experience doing this?

Does weld on 4 work glass to acrylic?

Ok....I have a new option! LOL. I just spoke to my LFS. He can build me the fuge out of acrylic to my exact measurements and he'll charge me $210. I'm in $40 with the glass tank at the moment. I would need to purchase the silicone (sealant) plus have the glass baffles pre cut. That should bring...

    siliconing baffles in sump

I started a post yesterday about my skimmer overflowing. I finally came to the conclusion that it wasn't the skimmer but the construction of my refugium thats the problem. I went out and bought a 20 gal tank and I'm going to build my own refugium. Where can I get some sheets of acrylic to use as...

I just installed it right now. I removed the cup and covered it with my hand and the water level started dropping but as soon as I give it air it starts rising.
