I've had my Red Sea Max 250 for about 3 1/2 months. I do water changes every week and have never missed one. I try to suck it up every week during the changes but it comes back within a day or so. Don't know alot about a phosphate reactor. I bought the Max because everything was built into...
Thanks for all the post. I took back the Regal Tang today but.... I'm going to keep my Yellow Tank. If he gets to big, maybe I'll trade him in for another small one.
brownie, I have been told that the size of the tank would limit the growth of the fish. Do you know if this is true? I do see on this site different min tank sizes based on the size of the fish. I guess that I should always look at the adult size to determine if my tank is big enough. I...
I don't see anything on this site under Yellow tang or Regal tang that says they shouldn't be kept together? I'm confused??? They have more than one tang in the tanks at the fish store? They don't seem to be bothering each other. I just watched them swim very close together without either...
Thanks for your post. I currently buy my salt and fresh water from local fish store. 6 dollars for 5 gal of salt and 3 dollars for 5 gal of fresh. Trying to save a couple bucks. I thought that you would have to add the salt to get salinity to 1.025? Is this simple reef buffer? I currently...

Hi, I have a 65gal Red Sea Max reef tank. How many fish can I have?
I currently have 2 False Percula Clownfish, Yellow Tag, Coral Beauty and a Regal Tang. I would say that they are sm-med in size. Any suggestions of fish if more can be added?

I would think that if I set my temp higher (say 80) that when the lights run the temp would even go higher?
Hi, I have recently purchased a Red Sea Max 250 65gal tank. I seem to be having a problem regulating my temperature. I keep my home temp set at 72. The tank seems to go up to 82 with the lights on and all fans running. During the night with "moon lights" on the tank temp goes down to 76 or...
