Run that skimmer at almost closed for a day or so then ever so slightly start to open the valve. With the very low Bio-waste so far in your tank the skimmer will not be able to get much "Gunk" out of the water. Also you said you have detectable amounts of ammonia? Thats not good at...

I would try to grab that Domino Damsel and relocate as soon as you can......They get quite mean as they get larger.

Keep close tabs on the ammonia level in your rubbermaid bucket. I would say that if they are near zero for atleast 2 tests ran 6-8 hours apart you should be safe.
