    new 8 gallon tank!

Recent updates: My anthelia is officially taking over my tank. Luckily, it's confined to one rock, so I will have it removed in a week or so. My torch really responds to feedings. Tons more tentacles lately, and it has split completely into two heads. I'm fighting all kinds of algae. Turns...

    Torch Coral Sweeper Question

Finally, I got the time to take a picture of it! It's not a great pic, but it just split into two heads, so I'm really happy. And one with a tentacle waaay stretched out. Is this what they use as sweeper tentacles?

    Beginner - want to start a 10 gal. tank - reef/coral/fish

I have an 8 gallon Biocube and it's great. I agree with Gemmy. A medium sized Hippo Tang would barely be able to turn around in a 10 gallon tank, much less live in one. On the other hand, however, I disagree with Monsinour. I have never had a problem with parameters, and especially with your...

    Torch Coral Sweeper Question

Mine looks like the one on the second page, fourth from the left. I'll try to get some pics tonight and post them sometime this week. Don't know how much time I'll have, school starts tomorrow.

    Torch Coral Sweeper Question

Mine is different from others I've seen. It's tentacles are really thin, and the tentacles aren't knobbly and bumpy. Is this because of flow, or a different subspeices, anyone know??

    *****...WOW!

We should start this as a new thread. We kinda stole this one. As for ideas, I think we should stop buying stuff from ***** and other big corporation-type businesses that have terrible livestock.

    kole tang sick???

It wasn't aggression. I found this description of the yellow coris wrasse on a website (I can't say which) which reads: A moderately sturdy fish, the Yellow ‘Coris’ Wrasse is an unusual colored fish and will spend most of it’s early introduction hiding in sand. Yellow Coris Wrasses are best...

Curious...Poll Question. How Many of Your Fish Die Within 6 Mos of Purchase?

Oh. I was just thinking that if you could breed a large Angel or Butterflyfish, you could try to ween it onto prepared foods, and maybe they wouldn't be impossible to keep anymore. I know that ORA did that with the spotted mandarin, synchiropus picturatus, and I think it would be cool if we...

Curious...Poll Question. How Many of Your Fish Die Within 6 Mos of Purchase?

Don't they only eat live coral polyps? The Meyeri I mean. And I'm assuming that you have multiple tanks for all of these? Have you ever tried to breed any of them? Hmmm... Kinda off topic... Sorry.

Curious...Poll Question. How Many of Your Fish Die Within 6 Mos of Purchase?

Oh yeah, I check 41-50 percent, but as I've only had two fish ever, and one of them died, it's kind of a skewed sample.
