IMO adding the flame angel is a bit too early but that just my opinion. XD I prefer having the torch infront as well. :P

Nope my flame angel does not. I had him for almost half a year already. Mostly flame are like 80% reef safe and 20% aren't. That my opinion on them. I believe is best to let your tank run for at least 6 months before you add a flame angel. That my opinion as well.

I would look into aqualife mini skimmer 115, it been doing a good job for my biocube.
