Crabs may look nice but if you got corals i wouldn't recommended. Snails or a peppermint shrimp is what i recommend. I had them and no problems so far, plus the peppermint shrimp will scavage leftover food.

I had my tank for 3 years and never used a heater, but i do live in southern california.

There is a lime green growth coming out of the live rock it looks like a long cilinder shape, and it's about the widht of a q tip stick. anybody can tell me what it is the most striking thing about it is the bright green color that makes it hard to miss it. :confused:

I had the mandarin for a month and had no problems with him he enjoys going around the tank eating of the live rocks. I have read post that they are very hard to keep but no problems so far. It is a very beautiful fish.
