actually that's a good idea. i will be investing in a phosphate test kit soon. actually the tank with the problem algae has a lighter bio-load. it only has three very small fish! could lighting be an issue? spectrum, or age of the bulbs?

i read an article in one of my fish mags, and the author said he keeps a light on in his sump 24/7. i was just wondering if any of you people keep a light on in your sump? the magazine stated that the lighted sump cut down on pH swings???? please let me know what you think!
