Never had Large Fish:
I want to set up a larger tank 125,150 gal
with a voltan Lion, Zebra Eel, Humu trigger and porcupine puffer.
Wet/dry filter with little giant 4- MDQX
and do large water changes monthly
no protein skimmer
will I have success/comments please!
If you use a larger size arragonite,
How deep is sufficent to create
micoaerobic bacteria to convert NO3 to
N2, O2, and not anaerobic. I don't want Hydrogen sulfide in my tank!
Has any one had success using a plenum?
If so please explain the set you used (size of space at the bottom, grain size, and brand of arragonite and the deepth of arragonite ect.)
How well did it work?
anyone have problems or read that a large amount of micro bubbles in the tank are harmful. A guy at a LFS said it can cause gill disfunction?
A large amount of bubble are produced as the water flows to the sump, then they get pumped back into the tank by the return pump.
most reef tanks do not need to be siphonded out
the blue legged and red legged crabs will eat that algae in a day. consider getting a cucumber to eat detritis.
P.S. I cannot spell sorry!
